The company is urgently hiring a Quality Engineer for their Machine Shop located in Ludhiana Sahnewal. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting parts using various precision measuring tools such as gauges, micro meters, callipers, bore gauges, etc. Any defective parts will need to be tagged and segregated, with immediate communication of issues to machine operators and supervisors. Patrol inspections are to be conducted as per the control plan during production to ensure consistency. You will be required to fill out setup and inspection reports, maintaining traceability of inspected parts including serial numbers and batch numbers. Inspection of parts at different machining stages like Turning, Milling, Grinding, and Drilling is also part of the job responsibilities. This involves checking dimensions, surface finish, and visual appearance against drawings or control plans. Additionally, you will need to perform Set up Approval during new settings and First-Off Inspection at the beginning of each batch or shift. Any non-conformities should be recorded in rejection notes and major rejections in the event log book. Maintaining housekeeping standards and 5S practices is essential. Providing feedback on recurring issues to the Quality or Production manager, participating in root cause discussions, and suggesting process improvements are also expected. Proper handling and storage of instruments to maintain accuracy and ensuring calibration of measuring instruments are crucial tasks. Experienced candidates with 0-2 years of experience and a B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering can apply for this position. The salary offered ranges from 15k to 23k.
