SEO Specialist (Mid-Level – International Focus)
About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SEO Specialist with 4–5 years of hands-on experience to join our digital team. This role focuses on developing and executing international SEO strategies across multiple regions, particularly the US and Australian markets . You’ll work closely with content, development, and analytics teams to drive visibility and organic growth across global search engines. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive international SEO strategies , including US and Australia-specific initiatives. Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits , identifying and resolving crawlability, indexing, and site architecture issues. Implement and manage hreflang tags , language targeting, and geo-targeting configurations for multi-region websites. Optimise website content based on thorough keyword research aligned to regional search intent and business goals. Leverage SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Screpy, Google Search Console ) for performance tracking, site health audits, and competitor analysis. Monitor and adapt strategies based on updates to global search engine algorithms (Google, Baidu, Yandex, etc.). Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive effective off-page SEO and content marketing initiatives . Analyse SEO performance metrics and provide actionable insights using tools like GSC, GA4, and third-party reporting platforms. Support content localisation and language optimisation across different markets. Report regularly on SEO KPIs and contribute to cross-functional project planning. Required Skills & Experience 4–5 years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong portfolio of international SEO work. Deep understanding of multi-regional and multi-lingual SEO best practices . Proven experience with hreflang implementation and region-specific content targeting. Strong grasp of technical SEO , including site speed, schema markup, crawl budget optimisation, and canonical strategies. Familiarity with search engine behaviour across Google, Baidu, Yandex , and regional platforms. Proficiency in leading SEO tools (SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Screpy, Ahrefs, etc.). Demonstrated success in off-page SEO and link building campaigns . Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical issues into business outcomes. Strong project management abilities and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in cross-functional and globally distributed teams. Background in content marketing or digital PR. Familiarity with Shopify, WordPress, or headless CMS platforms.
