Key Responsibilities : AI/ML Model Development for Construction Estimation : Develop machine learning models to analyze construction drawings and accurately identify square footage, linear footage, and objects (e.g., flooring, railings, windows, doors) for different trades. Work with computer vision techniques (e.g., image segmentation, object detection) to automate recognition of components from construction plans. Enhance existing models and continually improve accuracy using advanced deep learning techniques. API Integration : Design and develop APIs to feed processed construction data into real-time systems for use by project managers and construction professionals. Build robust data pipelines to integrate machine learning insights into external systems for estimating and project tracking. Real-time Application Development : Develop a ChatGPT-powered app that integrates with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, delivering real-time insights and user-friendly interactions. Design the system to pull real-time data from multiple data sources, ensuring scalability and performance. System Architecture : Architect and manage complex machine learning pipelines that integrate with front-end and back-end systems for seamless data flow. Collaborate with software engineers to design scalable, cloud-based architectures (using AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying AI models and handling large volumes of construction data. Inventory Forecasting : Write code to forecast inventory needs for construction projects, considering historical data, material usage, and project timelines. Build predictive models that offer real-time updates on material availability, allowing construction companies to optimize procurement and reduce waste. Database Management & Integration : Design and maintain robust databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) for storing construction project data, machine learning results, and user interactions. Ensure data security, performance, and scalability of the database systems. Collaboration & Leadership : Work cross-functionally with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable AI solutions. Provide leadership and technical mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in AI best practices, system design, and coding standards. Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a focus on computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and forecasting systems. Proven expertise in using AI/ML for interpreting architectural or construction plans, and automating recognition of key components like materials and trades. Experience integrating AI models into production systems with real-time data feeds. Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and computer vision libraries (OpenCV, YOLO, etc.). Expertise in Python and experience building APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for real-time database integration. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying scalable AI models. Systems & Architecture : Experience architecting complex AI/ML systems, integrating data pipelines, and ensuring systems scale for production environments. Experience with real-time application development and chatbot/AI assistant development (e.g., ChatGPT integration). Soft Skills : Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
