As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems. This includes working on circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems to launch cutting-edge, world-class products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to develop solutions and meet performance requirements effectively. To be considered for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree in the mentioned fields with 1+ year of relevant work experience can also qualify you. A PhD in a relevant field is also accepted. Preferred qualifications for this role include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field, along with 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. Additionally, candidates with 2+ years of experience in circuit design (digital, analog, RF), schematic capture, circuit simulation software, and hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc., are highly desired. As a Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm, your responsibilities will include applying your hardware knowledge and experience to plan, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems. You will integrate features and functionality into hardware designs, conduct simulations and analyses, collaborate with cross-functional teams, evaluate and develop manufacturing solutions, assess design features, and write detailed technical documentation for hardware projects. In this role, you will work independently with minimal supervision and your decision-making may impact work beyond your immediate work group. Strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication, are essential for conveying information effectively. You will be required to engage in basic negotiation, influence, and tact when necessary.
