With 8-10 years of experience in the fashion and apparel sector, you will be responsible for efficiently sourcing ethnic wear fabrics for our production processes. Your role will involve a solid understanding of fabric testing parameters such as count, construction, GSM, seam slippage, tearing, tensile strength, and color fastness. Additionally, you should possess basic knowledge of fabric dyeing, printing techniques, and chemicals. Proficiency in Excel is essential as you will be required to create reports and trackers for all styles, prepare purchase orders, and ensure timely communication with suppliers. As Deputy Manager - Fabric Sourcing, you will be tasked with maintaining a fabric tracker, liaising with mills for timely fabric delivery, and providing accurate status updates to the production team and garment vendors. Effective coordination with the garment production and design teams is crucial, including obtaining approvals for lab dips and strike-offs on a daily basis. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of women's wear fabrics such as Rayon, Chanderi, Polyester, Cotton, Schiffli, Linen Cotton Flex, foil prints, panel prints, rotary prints, and digital prints. A diploma in Textile, a B.Tech in Textile, or any graduate in Supply Chain or related fields is preferred.
