Description
As a member of the Connected Data Quality team at Cat Digital, your primary responsibility will be identifying and resolving telemetry data quality issues. You will play a crucial role in monitoring telemetry data, analyzing data quality issues, and collaborating with process partners to drive improvements. Your expertise in IoT and telemetry systems will be essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of data for Cat Digital products and services. Key Responsibilities: - Identify telemetry data quality issues through data mining and analysis. - Develop requirements for telemetry data business rules and dashboards, ensuring buy-in from internal teams, and oversee implementation and testing. - Lead validation of business rules, defect triage, and monitoring of telemetry data for production and field follow. - Investigate hardware and software issues, providing technical information for continuous product improvement. - Assess the impact of field product problems on the company and customers. - Collaborate effectively with global teams across different time zones and backgrounds. Qualifications Required: - Accredited engineering degree with 5-7 years of experience in IoT/telemetry systems development or product support. - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work effectively in a high-velocity environment. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences. - Knowledge of Caterpillar telemetry devices and telemetry data. - Familiarity with Tableau/BI tools, scripting for data analysis automation, and SQL query development. - Experience with handling large data sets in various formats. - Previous experience in Cat Machine system embedded SW development, particularly in the VIMS area.
