Are you an ambitious Fresher or MBA Marketing Graduate eager to break into the exciting world of Business Development? We are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist with a focus on Digital SEO to join our team.

A Digital Marketing Specialist for an e-commerce store develops and executes digital marketing strategies to drive online sales and revenue. This includes managing and optimizing various channels like website, social media, email, and paid advertising. The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience in ecommerce/engineering marketing and a proven track record of improving local small business website rankings and traffic.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Management:

    Understanding product details, pricing, and inventory management, especially for product content management.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies:

    Create and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on driving traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Manage and Optimize Channels:

    Manage and optimize e-commerce channels like the website, social media platforms, email marketing, and paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads).
  • Content Creation and Curation:

    Develop engaging content for various platforms, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, and other digital assets.
  • SEO and SEM:

    Implement and manage search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive paid traffic.
  • Social Media Management:

    Manage social media presence, create engaging content, run targeted campaigns, and analyze engagement metrics.
  • Email Marketing:

    Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including list building, segmentation, and automation, to nurture leads and drive sales.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting:

    Track and analyze key metrics like website traffic, conversion rates, ROI, and other relevant KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Budget Management:

    Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across different channels.
  • Local SEO & On-Page Optimization:

    Develop and implement local SEO strategies to boost small business visibility, optimizing website content for local search.
  • Technical SEO & Site Audits:

    Conduct regular technical audits to ensure website health, speed, and search engine crawlability.
  • Keyword & Competitor Analysis:

    Research relevant keywords and analyze competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities.
  • Content Strategy & Creation:

    Develop and guide content plans, ensuring engaging, high-quality, and SEO-optimized content creation (including with AI tools).
  • Backlink Acquisition:

    Identify and secure relevant backlink opportunities with strategic anchor text and target pages.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

    Track key SEO metrics, analyze site traffic, and report on performance to identify optimization areas.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Work with content, design, and development teams to embed SEO best practices throughout website projects.
  • Industry Trend Monitoring:

    Stay current with SEO trends and algorithm updates, proactively recommending new strategies.
  • Stay Updated:

    Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Customer Journey Optimization:

    Understanding the customer journey and optimizing touchpoints to improve the online shopping experience.
  • Competitive Analysis:

    Analyzing competitor strategies and identifying opportunities for differentiation.

Requirements:

  • E-commerce Platform Expertise:

    Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento and Website analysis tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMRush/Ahref.
  • Data Analysis:

    Proficiency in using web analytics tools and other data analysis techniques to monitor sales and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and independent.

Good to Have

  • Engineering / Technical Background or Deep interest in Technology
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO best practices.
  • Strong understanding of on-page optimization, technical SEO, keyword research, link building, and content strategy.
  • Experience with managing and optimizing business listings such as Google Business Profile and Apple Maps Business Connect.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
