Job Description

Overview: The Service Foods digital marketing assistant will support our digital marketing efforts across channels with a specific focus on email marketing and automation through our Salesforce CRM and the Salesforce Account Engagement tool. From creating email templates from scratch to in-depth reporting and ongoing data maintenance, you ll be our go-to for communication via email. As well as email marketing you ll be supporting the team with the more technical aspects of our digital channels campaign tracking and analytics, SEO, PPC, dev support and reports. Position Objective: By utilizing all of the technology available to you, you ll improve the overall performance of Service Foods marketing strategy and accurately report on the results of your activity. You ll improve the way we communicate with our customers and help execute our lead generation and loyalty strategies. Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): 1. Email Marketing a. Create email templates using inline CSS and accurately test these to ensure a great experience for recipients in as many clients as possible. b. Create, test and schedule one-off and recurring email marketing campaigns. c. Ideate, setup and manage email journeys that enhance customer experience or support the broader marketing strategy. d. Investigate and recommend A/B testing opportunities to improve results. e. Create and manage email prospect lists within Salesforce, ensuring our emails get send to the right people at the right time. f. Maintain contact data where required and recommend data improvements. g. Create end-to-end email reports that give insight to actual campaign performance ie. What result were we actually trying to achieve? h. Review and report on general email marketing metrics to help monitor list health. 2. Technical Digital Marketing a. Support the marketing team with campaign tracking using a combination of Salesforce analytics, Google analytics, Campaign URLs and other reporting tools including setup and analysis. b. Assist the marketing team in developing and executing and on-page SEO strategy across our assets. c. Support the marketing team with any PPC campaigns. d. Provide assistance to the marketing team as needed with the development of our brand website. e. Review analytics for our brand website, suggest improvements and implement. f. Keep up to date with developments, technologies and trends within digital marketing, making recommendations for strategy improvements where appropriate. 3. Team Collaboration: a. Assist with coordination of marketing projects, campaigns, timelines and general administrative tasks as needed. b. Collaborating with other departments within the organisation, such as sales or customer service, to ensure consistent and up to date messaging across all touchpoints c. Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in all customer interactions. 4. Confidentiality & Continuous Improvement: a. Deal with sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner, ensuring confidentiality is maintained including customer or proprietary information, trade secrets etc. b. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the overall experience for customers. c. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous improvement across the organization. 5. Health and Safety requirements: a. Understand and follow procedures in case of emergencies, including knowing who to contact for assistance. b. Manage fatigue by taking mandatory rest breaks and adhering to break times during work hours. c. Maintain open communication with management regarding any safety concerns or incidents encountered during warehouse operations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): i. Number of emails sent on time & to the correct audience: Ensure emails go out as planned and recipient list is accurate to brief. ii. General email marketing metrics: Key email marketing metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates are steady or improving. iii. Website traffic growth: Increase in website visits, page views, and unique visitors over time. iv. Lead Generation: Number of new leads or inquiries generated through digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and website forms. v. Content Performance: Performance of various content types (blogs, infographics, social media posts) based on metrics such as page views, shares, and time spent on page. vi. Paid advertising metrics: Percentage of visitors who take a desired action (e.g., make a purchase, sign up for a newsletter) after interacting with digital advertisements. Key Attributes: I. Qualification a. Bachelor s Degree / Graduate Diploma (NZQA Level 7) in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or a related field. II. Experience: a. Digital marketing professional development certificates preferred. b. Two or more years of digital marketing experience with a significant part of this being email marketing experience specifically. c. Great knowledge of CRM platforms Salesforce preferred. d. Excellent understand of HTML & CSS specifically inline CSS for email coding. e. Exceptional copywriting & proof reading skills with strong attention to detail. f. Experience in Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Premier, In Design and the MS Office suite Excel. g. Experience using web content management systems (CMSs). h. In depth knowledge of Google Analytics or similar analytics tools. i. Demonstrated experience monitoring multiple digital channels and tailoring one piece of content for different platforms, j. Experience in setting up email automation workflows. k. Demonstrated experience ensuring content is well-written for the web and is optimized for search engines. l. Strong communication skills including building effective relationships with stakeholders and clients, gathering requirements, managing expectations and offering innovative solutions. III. Knowledge & Skills: a. Creativity - Brings innovative ideas and creative solutions to digital marketing and design challenges, contributing fresh perspectives to campaigns and content b. A natural ability to spot even the tiniest inconsistencies, guaranteeing flawlessness in every digital touchpoint c. Active interest in digital trends including mobility and emerging technologies including writing content for responsive designs d. Relationship focused (internal & external) and action orientated e. Be able to build and foster connections and relationships IV. Personal attributes: a. Proactive and self-motivated. b. Ability to priorities tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. c. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. d. Ability to constantly improve and optimize.
