Responsibilities Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced Place weighed materials in mixing machines Unload mixture into a container or conveyor for further processing Set up and operate calendar machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change Prepare and change molds and adjust equipment for production line change Safely operate a three-layer and/or mono-layer blown film extrusion system Make extruder adjustments according to already established working methods to maximize productivity Make order changes Ensure the quality of the finished product while following all health and safety rules Perform continuous quality checks throughout production runs Follow a 'clean as you go' policy, keeping all areas tidy on site to ensure compliance with BRC food safety standards Monitor machine performance, maintain output, quality, and waste targets while keeping downtime to a minimum Must have single-handedly operated machines, specifically mono-layer and 3-layer blown film extrusion machines Preferred: Worked on W&H 3-layer and 5-layer blown film lines (Optimex, Varex) Worked on Reifenhauser single/monolayer or triple-layer blown film line Requirements Requirements: Education : Completion of secondary school is required. Diploma in plastics technology is a strong asset. Experience : At least 7 years of experience in the blown extrusion industry or co-extrusion is required. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, standing for extended periods, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking. Role & responsibilities BOP Buyer Engineer is part of the team responsible for procurement of brought out parts from outside suppliers. As part of the team the Buyer will ensure effective inventory management through optimization of BOP stocks at both supplier and Company end. Key Responsibilities: Tool and Mold Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molds, tools, and dies. Troubleshoot mold-related issues and provide quick, effective solutions to minimize production downtime. Tool Room Operations: Operate and maintain toolroom machinery including milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, EDM, CNC, and wire-cut machines. Ensure tools are manufactured and modified according to design specifications and tolerances. Maintain proper documentation for tool maintenance, tool life, and tooling changes. Mold Assembly & Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble injection molds for maintenance or production. Ensure mold components are correctly aligned and reassembled to standard. Design & Engineering Support: Collaborate with design and production engineering teams to improve mold designs for manufacturability, cycle time, and longevity. Assist in new tool trials, tool validations, and modifications. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
