Job Title: Polished Diamond Grading Trainer Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Gem & Jewellery / Diamond Education / Training Institute Experience Required: Minimum 35 years in diamond grading or teaching experience preferred Job Summary: Knowledgeable and experienced Polished Diamond Grading Trainer to educate and train students or professionals in all aspects of polished diamond grading. The trainer will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting hands-on grading sessions, preparing course material, and evaluating student progress in accordance with industry standards, particularly the 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat) and international grading systems like GIA or IGI. Key Responsibilities: Deliver in-depth training sessions on polished diamond grading theory and practicals Educate trainees on 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat weight) and related sub-factors such as symmetry, polish, fluorescence, proportions, etc. Demonstrate the use of gemological tools such as microscopes, loupe, and grading equipment Train students in identifying treatments, synthetic diamonds (HPHT, CVD), and natural diamonds Assist in creating, updating, and refining training materials, assessments, and presentations Conduct internal assessments to monitor and evaluate student understanding Provide feedback, guidance, and mentoring to improve student performance Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and grading sheets Coordinate with academic and operational teams for smooth course execution Stay updated with the latest industry practices, grading technologies, and lab standards Qualifications: Graduate or Postgraduate (preferred: Diploma/Degree in Gemology or Diamond Grading) Certification from GIA/IGI/HRD or other reputed diamond grading institutes Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in polished diamond grading Prior teaching or training experience is a plus Strong understanding of international grading standards and systems Fluent in English, Hindi And [regional languages as applicable] Skills Required: Deep knowledge of polished diamond grading processes and quality parameters Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong observational and analytical abilities Patience, professionalism, and mentoring ability Proficiency with microscopes, loupes, proportion scopes, and other grading tools Ability to handle groups and individual learners effectively Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus Work Environment: Classroom and practical lab-based training setup Occasional travel for workshops, events, or on-site corporate training
