-Staff management and leadership
-Supervise, hire, and manage staff, including registered nurses, dialysis technologists, and patient care technicians.
-Create work schedules and ensure proper staffing levels to meet patient needs.
-Conduct employee orientation and professional development programs.
-Provide clinical leadership and serve as a resource for staff on difficult cases, procedures, and equipment.
-Monitor adherence to national, state, and facility-specific standards and guidelines for dialysis treatments.
-Ensure all necessary patient documentation is completed and regularly audited.
-Implement and oversee infection control policies and procedures.
-Monitor quality metrics and patient satisfaction benchmarks, implementing action plans for improvement.
-Manage equipment, including monitoring the maintenance and proper functioning of dialysis machines and water treatment systems.
-Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment parts.
-Ensure a safe, healthy, and secure environment for both patients and staff.
-Oversee the delivery of safe and effective patient care, working with physicians and registered nurses.
-Provide effective educational programs and resources for patients and their families.
-Participate in the evaluation of a patient's medical status and treatment plan.
