DGM - Equipment & Plant Layout

As a Deputy General Manager (DGM) in Equipment & Plant Layout, your role involves managing the basic and detailed Plant Layout engineering for Thermal power projects on a complete EPC basis. You should possess conceptual knowledge in Piping, Civil, and Electrical disciplines and have interfacing capabilities with major Balance of Plant (BOP) facilities such as Coal Handling Plant (CHP), Ash Handling Plant (AHP), and other yard facilities. Your responsibilities include conceptualising plot plans and plant building concepts for Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) activities and proposals, along with experience in layout optimization to reduce project costs. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the basic and detailed Plant Layout engineering for Thermal power projects on a complete EPC basis. - Possess conceptual knowledge in Piping, Civil, and Electrical disciplines. - Interface with major BOP facilities like CHP, AHP, and other yard facilities. - Conceptualise plot plans and plant building concepts for FEED activities/proposals. - Optimize layouts to reduce project costs. - Utilize 3D modeling tools such as PDS, AutoCAD Plant 3D. - Regularly interact with the Owner to ensure smooth interface for finalizing layouts. - Coordinate effectively within different disciplines to achieve optimized, clash-free plant planning. Qualifications Required: - Experience in Plant Layout engineering for Thermal power projects. - Knowledge of Piping, Civil, and Electrical engineering. - Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as PDS, AutoCAD Plant 3D. - Strong coordination skills and the ability to work across different disciplines. - Prior experience in layout optimization to reduce project costs.
