Advise and assist the factory management in the fulfillment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining safe working environment. Advise on safety aspects in all job studies, and to carry out detailed job safety studies of selected jobs Check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent accident Carryout plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices followed by the employees and to render advice on measures to be adopted for reducing the unsafe conditions and preventing unsafe practices Design and conduct safety training either independently or in collaboration with others for the employees at all levels Take the help of various techniques for identifying hazards and risk analysis Be proactive and able to design, implement, sustain and improve the various Management Systems like OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001etc Maintain the Env. Management System in the Plant Monitoring and Measurement of Workplace Environment Monitoring and Measurement of ETP & STP Monitoring and Measurement of Consent and NoC Liaise with external agency like Factory Directorate, Explosive Deptt. , Pollution Control Board, National Safety Council, DGFASLI etc Implementation, Monitoring & Review of Safety Systems according to Factories Act 1948. Incident/ Accident communication (escalation) , investigation, analysis & recommendation of corrective & preventive actions to the Management Maintain fire extinguishers inspection, HIRA. Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation viz. LTI, FAC, TRC etc. Assist in administering and maintaining compliance such as LOTO, Hazard, Hearing, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, etc

Create a culture among employees to create healthy and safe work environment. Conduct regulatory audits at multiple locations of the organization and identify potential hazards. Give inputs during the process of preparing new factory layout from safety perspective. Make necessary changes in prevailing factory layout to avoid probability of accidents. Conduct training of employees as per their risk exposures to ensure safe working environment. Conduct workshops on emergency procedures, safety practices, dos, donts etc. in view of adherence to statutory requirements. Track industry trends on health and safety related practices and realign organization wide practices. Conduct risk assessment and prepare plans to mitigate it. Track near-miss incidences and make necessary changes to avoid accidents. Conduct detailed root cause analysis and formulate effective Corrective and Preventive actions in case of any mishap. Prepare formats and update health and safety documentation like Safety Manuals, Incident Reports etc. Compliance reporting and MIS preparation. Conduct continuous improvements in work environment to improve safety index. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. Professional certifications like IOSH, NEBOSH, DGFASLI (Preferred). Skills : A self-driven individual with ability to manage work independently.
