The candidate in this position will be responsible for managing customer requirements, concept design/selection, detail design, and analysis & design validation for Aerospace products. You will be required to work on product testing and qualification while ensuring compliance with engineering practices. It is essential to have a working knowledge of mechanical & pneumatic design principles. You will be responsible for creating 3D models and drawings of new product designs, as well as modifying existing product drawings and models. Proficiency in ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5, and Bluebeam is required for preparing CAD models, detailed design/drawings, and drafting drawings. Additionally, you should be capable of performing GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering calculations to support design integrity. Ensuring that designs meet Eaton and customer standards/requirements is a key aspect of the role, along with possessing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) GB certification for internal candidates. Experience in Design for Manufacturing, DFMEA & DVPR, exposure to PLM systems like ENOVIA/Windchill, and proficiency in digital tools such as Python Programming, Advanced Excel, PowerBI, VB, etc., will be necessary to drive digitalization strategies and technical/functional productivity areas. Developing productive working relationships with various functions and organizations outside of Engineering, maintaining credible communication practices with stakeholders, and actively engaging in continuous learning are essential for enhancing organizational objectives. Education level required for this position is a B.E/B.Tech or ME/M.tech in Mechanical/Aerospace or related engineering areas. Candidates with a Master's degree should have 4-6 years of experience, while those with a Bachelor's degree should have 6 to 8 years of experience in product design & development within the Aerospace industry. Technical knowledge in NPI/NPD, DfX tools, Pneumatic design, 3D modeling and drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stackup, Engineering design calculations, and Risk analysis & assessment (DFMEA) is essential.
