Generate conceptual 3D design, engineering calculations and detailed design for extensive range of electro-mechanical products using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks’. Converting the ideas into practically feasible product-oriented design. Validate conceptual design integrity using FEA analysis. Deliver complete and accurate detailed design drawings as required for part manufacturing with GD&T. Create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M – 1994 standards. Generate documentation including design spec, DFMEA, part drawings, engineering bill of materials and assembly drawing per Hubbell standard. Good understanding of IEEE standards and experience in creating the type test plan. Experience in conducting the type test with external laboratories. Support manufacturing team in defining the product manufacturing process flow, PFMEA, control plan and with new tooling validation. Driving the project from scoping phase to launch phase. Working knowledge in vault, windchill and SAP is required. Knowledge of DFM and DFA is an added advantage. What will help you thrive in this role?
