You will be part of a strong, agile, and modern team culture driven engineering team responsible for researching, designing , architecting and implementing highly tested, robust, reliable IBM cloud infrastructure

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer you will be:

• Researching, designing, and developing highly secure, compliant, available common base automation solutions/tooling, using technologies like Python, GoLang, NodeJs, Bash in an IBM Cloud context
• Working with the team in implementing solutions
• Identifying opportunities and acting on improving existing tools, frameworks and DevSecOps workflows.
• Documenting and sharing your experience with other teams.
• Becoming an expert and major contributor for design and implementation efforts of the IBM Cloud Services ecosystem.
• Manage the full lifecycle of code changes from development to deployment, testing and operations.
• Use of various open-source tools for instrumenting, monitoring, alerting, and debugging of production services.
• Participate in on-call rotations along with the other members of the team to maintain the uptime of our services out of hours.
• Participate in design discussions
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies with high focus on Cloud infrastructure (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai etc)

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Cloud environment in the role of DevOpsGood understanding & demonstrated experience of working with Docker & containerization.Demonstrated experience using any of these scripting languages Bash, ShellProficiency in these programming languages such as Python, Node and Go.Familiarity with usage of CI & CD tools.Knowledge of Package management tools on Linux systemDemonstrated experience working with Cloud infrastructure (VPC, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Istio, Akamai).Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software.

Experience Working With Any Version Control System (Git Preferred).

Ability to interpret logs, registry errors, and CI/CD failures.Helping teams optimize image builds and reduce vulnerabilities

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Knowledge of IBM Cloud services and managementExperience using cloud-native systems for monitoring and alerting (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch)Good foundation in Linux internals, including system calls, file systems, and kernel debuggingUnderstanding of endpoint security best practicesKnowledge of security testing techniques to identify vulnerabilities in software and infrastructure.
