Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage a large inventory of application delivery controllers such as F5, A10, AVI, WAF, and NGINX with a team of engineers. - Ensure 99.99%+ application uptime through effective deployment and configuration of load balancers. - Troubleshoot complex Layer 17 network issues and provide clear status updates/resolutions to stakeholders. - Execute projects including load balancer upgrades, WAF onboarding, cloud migration, and SSL/TLS inspection deployment. - Apply a software engineering mindset to build tools and solve problems using code generation AI and scripting. - Automate repeatable tasks using scripting languages and tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins. - Document network topologies and MOPs for repeatable engineering tasks. - Secure applications against malicious HTTP/S traffic using WAFs. - Participate in on-call rotation and support off-hour change windows as needed. - Work independently on complex, less structured issues and serve as a resource to peers. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, support, and security. - 3+ years of experience in application delivery controller management with a minimum of 2 years with F5. - 2+ years of experience securing cloud-native applications using WAAP/CDN tools. - 2+ years of experience in network/security appliance maintenance. - 2+ years of experience in infrastructure automation using Perl/Python and tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins. - 2+ years of experience securing applications with WAFs. - 1+ year of experience with AI technologies focusing on automation and self-serve security capabilities. Preferred Skills: - Hands-on experience with F5 LTM, GTM, ASM, SSLO, A10, AVI, Shape Bot Protection. - Familiarity with cloud provider consoles such as AWS, Azure, GCP. - Exposure to F5 XC, Cloudflare, Imperva. - Strong scripting and automation mindset. - Excellent documentation and communication skills.
