As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and market needs. You will lead the Vehicle Integration Function, covering program-level planning from Kick Off to Start of Production, D&D Budgeting, and BOM sign-off based on targeted customer segments. Your role will involve ensuring deliverables at different development milestones and overseeing Engineering Change Management. Additionally, you will implement Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) strategies for profitability improvement and cost engineering. In the role of Head of Chassis Engineering, you will lead the design, development, optimization, and validation of vehicle chassis systems, including frame design, suspension, and braking components. Your expertise will be crucial in influencing design decisions for optimal handling, ride, stability, and safety characteristics. You will be responsible for designing fixtures and test setups for data acquisition testing, conducting strain gauging for structural components, and performing failure analysis. Planning and executing prototype builds and validation at various program milestones will also be part of your responsibilities. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance chassis system performance and collaborating closely with various teams for integrated chassis development will be key aspects of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in chassis systems design and development within the two-wheeler industry is required. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective communication, leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion are essential for success in this role.
