Development Manager / Engineering Manager

You are a dynamic technical leader capable of guiding a cutting-edge product development team assigned to construct top-tier business applications. In this role reporting to the CTO, you will oversee the engineering of one of the primary product lines of SmartDocs. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end engineering process to ensure successful product releases aligning with the product roadmap. You will coordinate requirements prioritization with product managers, ensure product releases maintain high quality standards, oversee code reviews, enforce development guidelines, coordinate QA testing, release proper documentation, and collaborate with DevOps engineers to sustain a suitable development landscape. Additionally, you will nurture and expand a dynamic development team capable of meeting product managers" requirements effectively. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 2 years" experience managing successful development teams focused on building modern web applications in roles such as Developer Manager or higher. You must have at least 2 years of experience as a senior Java developer with hands-on development involvement. A strong understanding of modern web application architectures and architecture patterns, expertise in Agile methodologies, and familiarity with SaaS product development are essential. Proficiency in management reporting and communication with executive leadership teams is highly valued. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience contributing to one or more startups that delivered modern web applications, particularly SaaS products in the enterprise space.
