Development Lead - Java

You will play a crucial role in contributing to the development of a high-throughput, stable, and real-time gaming platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, designers, and backend/frontend engineers, you will participate in defining project requirements and deliverables. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and maintaining efficient and reliable Java code that aligns with the project's performance and scalability objectives. Moreover, you will be tasked with implementing and optimizing data streaming mechanisms to facilitate real-time player interactions, ensuring minimal latency and high responsiveness. It will be essential for you to identify and address bottlenecks, performance issues, and potential areas for enhancement to uphold system efficiency. Furthermore, you will be expected to write and maintain unit tests to guarantee the reliability and robustness of the codebase. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. You must have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, real-time systems, preferably within the gaming or a similar industry. A strong command of the Java programming language and related frameworks is essential, along with a solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies. Experience with data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ is highly desirable. Proficiency in database design and optimization for high throughput and low latency is also expected. You should exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a real-time environment.
