As a Fashion Designer, your primary responsibility will be to forecast fashion trends for the forthcoming season through market surveys. It is crucial to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments to ensure that the designs you create are fresh, relevant, and competitive. You will be tasked with creating detailed sketches and illustrations using both hand-drawing techniques and Adobe Illustrator. These design concepts should incorporate graphics and prints as necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for Range Planning & Development, New Embroidery Concepts Development, Buyer Interactions, Buyer Presentations, New Fabric Development, and Sourcing Prints & Fabrics. In this role, you will need to conceptualize designs in line with customer needs, develop prints and embroidery using various techniques, and deliver presentations in front of buyers. Your ability to set up a showroom exhibit and arrange it according to client specifications is essential to showcase your designs effectively. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong proficiency in illustrations and graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. You should have at least 1-4 years of experience in fashion design, particularly in designing Women's woven wear. An excellent understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes is crucial for success in this role. Effective communication of design ideas and concepts is key, so you must be detail-oriented with a strong sense of creativity and innovation.
