Description
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), your role will involve assisting in the development of the new Index platform for the FTSE-Russell Index business. You will work with a team of engineers on innovative technologies to implement solutions supporting the strategic growth of the Index business. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining complex Java or JavaScript based testing tools, automated testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing L3 production support, and ensuring the overall quality of products and services. Additionally, you will gain insights into financial markets and asset classes such as equities and fixed income instruments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and maintain complex Java or JavaScript based testing tools for large, scalable microservice architecture systems. - Create and maintain automated tests including non-functional testing to ensure robust, scalable, and secure applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding products and provide clear reporting to stakeholders. - Provide L3 production support, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and implement preventive measures. **Qualifications:** - Degree or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of experience in Software Development and automation testing. - Ambitious, self-driven, and passionate for perfection and quality in product delivery. **Required Skills:** - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to convert business use cases into technical test solutions. - Experience in CI/CD tools & automation, functional and non-functional testing, test scenario preparation, and Cloud Technologies. - Strong experience in Java, Spring, Maven, Git, Automated testing, Relational DB, DevOps frameworks, BDD testing frameworks. **Advantageous Skills:** - Experience in financial services with an understanding of financial market data. - ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing, Software Development Engineer in Test foundation level. - Familiarity with technologies like Zephyr, JIRA, Datadog, Selenium, and non-functional testing tools.
