The API Product Owner will have end-to-end ownership of the Self-Service APIs Gateway. They will contribute to the vision and strategy of our API modernization and revenue generation. They will be responsible for identifying customer and market needs, developing a long term & short team strategic plan/roadmap that aligns to business goals, and planning and executing to that vision. They are an individual contributor that has end-to-end responsibility for their defined product. The API Product Owner closely partners with Engineering colleagues to solve complex business and customer use cases that drive solutions that delight our end users. The API Product Owner manages product development deliverables, such as requirements documentation, analytics, design reviews, implementation, and delivery. Roles and Responsibilities Act as one of the technical product owner of Tata Communications Digital Ecosystem to deliver API products for internal / external customers and partners. Discovery (Product Strategy & Roadmap): Develop and execute a comprehensive API product strategy aligned with the company's vision and business goals. Define and manage the API product roadmap, through customer needs, market trends, and business objectives. Builds deep business domain and user expertise to identify product and market opportunities. Aligns team around delivery of high value business outcomes. Product Development (Requirement Creation & Prioritization): Documents requirements in the form of user stories, translating business requirements into technical requirements, to create a shared understanding with Product and Engineering teams. Validates teams product & engineering artifacts (User Stories/Acceptance Criteria, Visual Collaboration documents, design documents, etc.) to ensure risks to value, viability, feasibility, and usability are addressed upfront. Data Driven prioritization with defined framework to support constantly prioritized roadmap and backlog while balancing the needs of clients and stakeholders. Performs necessary backlog maintenance to support health, such as identifying escalated feature or bug requests and preparing them for upcoming sprints. Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and design teams to guide the development of API products from concept to launch. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define product requirements, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives. Partners with stakeholders across the organization to align to transparent strategic long-term roadmaps and ensure delivery of the aligned product outcomes. Agile Practices (Facilitate Agile Processes): Participates in program increment (PI) planning activities, driving direction & prioritization for PI. Participate in daily stand-up meeting for the team on clarification of requirements. Participate in Sprint retrospective to reflect on how well the team worked together. Performs functional testing and confirm sprint demos to ensure seamless delivery. Metrics & Analysis: Establish and monitor KPIs, analyse data to track engagement and performance, and make data-driven improvements. What We Are Looking For Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred (computer science or engineering). Minimum 4 years of working experience in Application Integration and API management, preferably in Telecommunication domain (or) Digital Transformation. At least 2+ years of Product management and technical architecture experience with an API management software or equivalent with the knowledge of API mashups, analytics, developer networks, monetization models and security. Strong working knowledge with Web services and API technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, XSLT). Minimum of 4 years of experience understanding Java, Spring Boot, Micro services, JavaScript, or equivalent technology. Experience in HTTP/HTTPS protocol, web services, use of web servers, designing relational databases and SQL scripting. Minimum of 2 years of know-how in implementing security and identity protocols such as OpenID, TLS, OAuth, SAML, SSO, PKI (encryption and key management), REST. Know-how of Maria, or Mongo DB. What you bring to the team Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or a similar role in Telco or SaaS. Interest in API integrations and marketplaces. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product roadmaps and strategies. Experience with user research and leveraging data insights for decision-making. Analytical mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.

Knowledge of databases like MariaDB or MongoDB is a plus. As an ideal candidate, you should have proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in the Telco or SaaS industry. Experience with user research and leveraging data insights for decision-making, an analytical mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit are qualities that you should bring to the team.,
