Developer III - Senior Java Developer

As a Java Developer at UST, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality web applications and backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining event-driven systems using Kafka or similar technologies, as well as collaborating with front-end developers to integrate APIs with UI frameworks such as React JS or Angular JS. You will also build and consume RESTful web services, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability requirements are met. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate requirements into robust technical solutions, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Applying best practices for software engineering, including DevOps and CI/CD where applicable, will be essential. Additionally, you will contribute to system design and architecture planning to ensure high system reliability and scalability. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java web application development, along with strong proficiency in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Solid experience with Kafka or other message brokers, as well as building and consuming RESTful web services, is required. Experience with JavaScript frameworks, preferably React JS or Angular JS, and working with relational databases such as MSSQL is essential. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, are key for this position. Exposure to NoSQL databases, familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc., as well as prior experience working in the Healthcare domain, will be beneficial. An understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy considerations is also a plus.
