Job Description

The role requires you to manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Edifecs tools such as SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, and EAM. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing healthcare EDI solutions using the Edifecs suite. This includes creating and updating maps, guidelines, and profiles for HIPAA-compliant transactions. Additionally, you will develop and optimize EDI process flows and business rules. Collaboration with client architects and technical project managers to formulate architecture, integration strategies, and timelines is a crucial aspect of this role. Providing mentorship and training to internal teams on Edifecs tools and best practices will be part of your responsibilities. Acting as a liaison between clients and internal technical teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution is also expected. Participation in Agile project execution and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives is essential. Monitoring system behavior, diagnosing issues, and implementing appropriate fixes or enhancements are key tasks. You will also be involved in contributing to documentation, presentations, and knowledge transfer activities. The must-have skills for this role include 4+ years of overall experience, with at least 2 years in managing Edifecs implementations. Proficiency in Edifecs tools like SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, and EAM is required. Hands-on experience with various EDI X12 transaction sets and familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Agile methodology, and source control tools are necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for explaining complex technical issues to stakeholders. Good-to-have skills include exposure to Edifecs version 9.x or higher, knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA), experience in client-facing roles with stakeholder management, understanding of integration and middleware tools, experience with performance tuning and system optimization, and certification in Edifecs or healthcare EDI standards. The role is based in Chennai, Kochi, or Trivandrum.
