Detailer/Designer

As a Detailer/Designer specializing in CAD Worx and AutoCAD Plant 3D within the Oil & Gas industry, you will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models, detailed drawings, and comprehensive design packages for various projects. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and resolving design conflicts effectively. Utilizing your expertise in CAD Worx and AutoCAD Plant 3D, you will be tasked with generating detailed 3D models of piping systems, equipment layouts, and structural components. Your responsibilities will also include preparing isometric drawings, GA drawings, and piping layouts while coordinating with engineers to integrate design elements seamlessly. A key aspect of your role will involve clash detection using tools like Navisworks to identify and resolve design conflicts, ensuring constructability and safety. You will also be responsible for preparing material take-offs, maintaining design documentation, and verifying design outputs for accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards. To excel in this role, you should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in piping design within the oil and gas industry. Proficiency in CAD Worx, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Navisworks is essential, along with a strong understanding of piping materials, specifications, and industry codes. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are also crucial for success in this position. Preferred qualifications include certifications or specific training in CAD Worx and AutoCAD Plant 3D, as well as experience with 3D laser scanning and EPC project workflows.
