Structural Steel Tekla Modeler / Tekla Detailer / Checker Job Location: Tiruchirappalli JOB DESCRIPTION: Roles & Responsibilities: Responsible for Steel Structural Tekla Modelling / Tekla Detailing / Checking The modelling can be of Member application, Connection application and clash deduction Modelling of the basic Structural Components (Residential & Commercial) of a building or other structures refer to Client Architectural / Structural drawings. Modelling of connections, studying the Fabrication and Erection feasibility. Exposure to Structural Steel detailing. Proficiency in Tekla and AutoCAD.

Role & responsibilities Prepare drawings, plans, estimates and sketches; Analyse designs and briefs, and prepare preliminary sketches and detailed instructions Prepare working drawings showing plans, elevations, sections, materials, layouts, guidance notes and finishes etc. Calculate the quantity and quality of materials needed; Help in preparing specifications for construction; Examine relevant codes and by-laws during the course of undertaking project documentation. Perform the general responsibilities as per company management system manual (Quality Safety Environment / project quality plan / project health safety environment plan). Preferred candidate profile Skilled in use of AutoCad / Solid Works or any other software used by the company. Visualizing ideas in three-dimensional form; accuracy, neatness and patience in drawing work; some artistic talent in freehand drawing; and

Good understanding of Transmission & Engine systems and components, Casting Structural components Expertise in modelling and detailing of complex castings using surface modelling techniques to develop core passages in Transmission, Lower powertrain, Engine components like cases, covers, manifolds, Torque converter housings, heads & blocks, Crankshaft, Camshaft, flywheel & housing, axle housing. Strong knowledge in GD&T. Pro E / CREO experience with background in casting and forging design, Modelling and Detailing. General understanding of complex casting components, gears and shafts. Any casting experience from foundry / forging industry will be an added advantage.
