As a member of the HV IT team at Hitachi Vantara, you will be responsible for providing desktop support services primarily to end users in Pune, and remote support to end users in AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions. Based out of the Hitachi Vantara office in Pune, India, you will work collaboratively with the existing team to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex desktop problems for end users. Your role will involve installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Macintosh and Windows end-user workstations, as well as assessing the need for and implementing performance upgrades. You will collaborate with tier 3 support teams, network/system administrators, and engineering teams to provide effective desktop services within established service levels. Key responsibilities include: - Performing onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems - Installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting end-user workstations and related hardware/software - Implementing performance upgrades and collaborating with support teams - Responding to incoming calls, pages, and emails regarding desktop issues - Working on assigned problem and IMAC tickets - Deploying software through SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and JAMF - Maintaining procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations - Documenting instances of equipment failure, repair, installation, and removal - Configuring and maintaining collaboration meeting rooms - Supporting mobile devices like phones and tablets - Managing asset inventory Qualifications/Experience: - Degree in information technology or related field - IT Desktop Support experience - Fluency in English (verbal/written) - Technical skills in supporting hardware platforms and operating systems - Experience in Active Directory environment and SCCM - Experience with desktop virtualization preferred - Customer support skills and a team-oriented mindset - Willingness to travel to other countries At Hitachi Vantara, we are a global team of innovators dedicated to co-creating meaningful solutions to complex challenges.
