The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting the university's IT infrastructure, systems, and services. This includes the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of hardware, software, networks, data systems & Cameras. You will play a key role in ensuring that all university departments, faculty, staff, and students have reliable and secure access to necessary technological resources. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, software, and peripheral equipment in the lab and other offices of the university. It will be your duty to ensure the security and integrity of systems through regular updates, backups, and monitoring. You will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to faculty, staff, and students as per their requirements. Additionally, maintaining an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and other lab-related assets & Cameras will be essential. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices. Administering and maintaining university servers, networks, and core IT systems (including email, storage, LMS, ERP, etc.) will also fall under your purview. Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control across systems, implementing and enforcing IT policies and data security protocols, and enforcing lab usage policies are crucial aspects of this role. You will monitor lab usage and system performance, generating periodic reports as required.
