Desktop Publishing (DTP) operator/Graphic Designer

As a Desktop Publishing (DTP) Operator/Graphic Designer, your role involves utilizing your expertise in DTP software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw X4/X5, and QuarkXPress. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiently handle layout and formatting tasks to ensure translated scripts align perfectly with the original design. - Skillfully manage fonts, spacing, and margins to accommodate various languages and character sets. - Handle image and graphic tasks by inserting translated texts around images while maintaining alignment. - Adjust image sizes and resolutions according to different languages and formats. - Maintain a meticulous quality assurance approach by checking for errors and inconsistencies in scripts and layouts. - Ensure the final product is print-ready and/or digitally distributable. - Track and rectify errors and inaccuracies from OCR, translation, and DTP tasks. - Communicate effectively with project managers to ensure a smooth workflow. - Display excellent technical skills with a deep understanding of DTP software and different file formats. - Apply core design principles effectively, including typography and layout. - Utilize your multilingualism and cultural knowledge to ensure accurate formatting, especially for right-to-left languages. - Demonstrate strong project management skills by handling multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
