Designing Engineers - Mechanical/PLUMBING

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your role involves designing mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, machinery, or equipment using CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc. You will be responsible for creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, assembly layouts, fabrication drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials). Additionally, conducting engineering calculations for load, stress, fluid flow, thermal performance, etc., is crucial to ensure design feasibility. Your role will also include selecting appropriate materials and components based on performance, cost, and safety requirements. Collaboration with electrical, civil, and manufacturing teams is essential to ensure integrated and functional designs. Supporting the development of product specifications, technical documentation, and user manuals will also be a part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, assisting in prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical designs is key. Ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, ASME, ISO, etc., is an important aspect of your role. Participation in design reviews, risk assessments, and product improvement initiatives is expected. Providing technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning rounds up your responsibilities.
