Role Overview: As the Director/Head of Engineering, you will lead, build, and operate exciting products with a passionate team. Your focus will be on developing and deploying software with a strong emphasis on end-user experience. Your role will involve shipping web-scalable products and building and delivering cloud solutions with delightful consumer experiences. You will be responsible for developing massively scalable distributed compute product architectures, microservices-oriented architectures, and scaling Big Data infrastructure. Additionally, you will work on delivering platform technology and creating an ecosystem of applications and services across multiple verticals and solution offerings. Your experience with scaling technology infrastructure to support rapid customer/data growth will be crucial in this role. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced, design-forward, product-focused environment and possess an entrepreneurial, start-up attitude. As a team player, you will be expected to lead and mentor employees. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a small team of 6-12 members in the engineering team - Develop and set release plans, track deadlines, deliverables, resource allocations, issues/risks, and create mitigation strategies - Possess strong technical and architectural skills in a wide range of platform engineering areas - Dive deep into any area as needed to ensure quality products are delivered on time Qualifications Required: - BS/MS/Ph.D. degree in engineering/technology - Minimum 4+ years of experience leading a small engineering team - Prior work on large-scale mobile & web complex products - Proven track record of developing and setting release plans, tracking deadlines, and delivering quality products on time,
