Designer - Millwork

Millwork Designer

The role requires deep knowledge of millwork materials, joinery techniques, manufacturing processes, and the ability to translate concepts into high-quality technical drawings.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create detailed

  millwork shop drawings

  , elevations, sections, and 3D models as per project requirements.
• Review architectural plans and convert concepts into accurate

  fabrication-ready drawings

  .
• Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, quality standards, and industry guidelines.
• Coordinate with

  project managers, architects, production team, and site engineers

  to resolve design-related queries.
• Prepare

  material take-offs (MTOs)

  , BOQs, cut lists, and assembly details.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions quickly while maintaining drawing quality.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure design feasibility and production accuracy.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings before submission.
• Maintain documentation and version control for all project designs.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, materials, and technologies in millwork and interior design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in

  Interior Design Architecture Mechanical Drafting

  or related field.
• 27 years of experience in

  millwork, joinery, woodworking, or interior fit-out design

  .
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  , SketchUp/Revit (optional), and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of

  woodworking materials, hardware, finishes, and joinery methods

  .
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong visualization skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with modular furniture or custom millwork manufacturing setups.
• Knowledge of CNC, laser cutting, and woodworking machinery processes.
• Experience in site coordination and understanding of installation techniques.
