As an Industrial Designer at Orient Electric Limited, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing and visualizing product designs and physical interactions. Using your expertise in sketching, 3D CAD, and renderings, you will be responsible for creating innovative and user-centric designs. Your primary tasks will include defining product architecture, features, design trends, physical workflows, and user experiences. Additionally, you will work on designing language & aesthetics, colors & materials, and product technologies. You will have the opportunity to build virtual and physical prototypes to simulate the experience with the product portfolio, ensuring a seamless and engaging interaction for users. Exploring CMF (color, materials, and finishes) with physical samples and renderings will be a key aspect of your role. Moreover, you will be expected to showcase and implement innovative ideas for product packaging, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, as you will lead brainstorming sessions with interdisciplinary product category teams. Your role will also involve planning and conducting design research focused on product use and experience, aligning with the brand and the desires of target users. Defining processes to analyze and test product usability, ergonomics, and workflows will be essential in ensuring the quality and functionality of the products. In this position, you will visualize user experience scenarios and journeys by integrating physical and digital interactions, creating a seamless and intuitive user experience. Working closely with mechanical engineers and vendors, you will ensure the manufacturability of products, emphasizing a collaborative and efficient approach. To excel in this role, you are expected to have a good understanding of parametric 3D software and graphic design software. Your behavioral competencies, including collaboration, developing & motivating, drive for results & accountability, analysis & decision-making, operational efficiency, driving change, and entrepreneurial drive, will be crucial in driving innovation and success in your role.
