Description
As a Portfolio Designer & Mentor at UniVisory, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students applying to B.Arch, BA Design, Visual Arts, and related creative fields. Your role will involve strategizing, mentoring, and collaboratively developing each student's admissions portfolio. By guiding them in sketching, conceptualizing, and designing narrative-driven work, you will help them showcase both creativity and technical proficiency effectively. Your responsibilities will include: - Mentoring students individually or in small groups to develop portfolio concepts tailored to their interests and target universities such as Cornell, RISD, UCL Bartlett, Pratt, NID, and Srishti. - Assisting them in various areas including freehand sketching, digital design, spatial drawings, and exploring multiple mediums. - Supporting them in creating a cohesive and well-structured portfolio that highlights their creativity, skills, and unique voice. - Providing feedback on their work, suggesting references, and engaging in design thinking exercises to ensure alignment with each university's specific expectations and strengths. Qualifications required for this position: - Solid background in Architecture, Visual Arts, or Product/Communication Design. - Previous experience in building or evaluating portfolios for B.Arch or BA Design admissions is preferred. - Proficiency in freehand sketching and design software like Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, etc. - Ability to mentor and engage creatively with high school students to help them succeed in their application processes.,
