You have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Hydraulic Cylinders Design Engineer at our location in Yeshwanthpur. With at least 2 years of experience, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering field related to hydraulic cylinders and components design. Your proficiency in using Solidworks 3D CAD package is essential for this role, and any exposure or knowledge to MatLAB/Simulation tools like Ansys will be considered advantageous. Your strong hands-on experience in engineering calculations for hydraulic cylinders design is crucial, along with a sound understanding of hydraulic design principles. As a Hydraulic Cylinders Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing various types of hydraulic actuators, including cylinders and safety locking devices, in accordance with specifications provided by the Customer/Sales team. Your role will also involve conducting engineering calculations, component design, and validation of linear actuators following relevant industry codes/standards such as ASME, PED, DNV, API, AISC, among others. In addition, you will play a key role in reviving and releasing component drawings, managing component Bill of Materials (BOM), and documenting NPI/project management and CFT project meetings. You will need to demonstrate your expertise by proving prototype designs at customer locations, providing critical assembly instructions, and analyzing design reliability, serviceability, and manufacturability. A thorough knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, castings, forgings, bolted joints, welded joints, reliability, tolerance stack-up, and GD&T is essential for this role. Furthermore, your familiarity with oil seals and other electronics pertaining to hydraulic cylinders will be valuable. You will be tasked with defining and executing the virtual and on-machine validation plan through DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report).
