As an EPC Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) projects in the US. Your primary focus will be on analyzing RFPs/RFQs, developing cost-effective proposals, and ensuring compliance for various public and private sector projects, including solar, water management, HVAC, and CHP systems. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing project requirements, developing competitive proposals, preparing pricing sheets and bid documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. You will collaborate with internal teams such as Design Engineers, Energy Analysts, and Procurement Coordinators to gather necessary information and materials for proposal development. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing bid submission timelines, performing detailed cost estimations for EPC works, and applying value engineering principles to optimize project costs. Your technical proficiency in US-based EPC/ECM bids, cost estimation software, Excel-based pricing tools, and project scheduling tools will be essential for this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) or Construction Management, along with at least 5-8 years of relevant experience in EPC estimation and proposal development. Strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to work across time zones and collaborate with global teams are key soft skills required for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Electrical Engineering and have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in the estimation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for various construction projects. A core requirement for this role is proven expertise in preparing detailed rate analyses for Electrical, HVAC, and Fire Hydrant systems. You will play a crucial role in developing accurate cost estimates, managing supplier relationships, and contributing to the successful tendering and execution of our projects. Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering Location: Bangalore, India Experience Required: 8 - 10 Years Required Skills: * Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Electrical systems design and installation. Strong understanding of HVAC and Fire Fighting/Hydrant systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex MEP drawings and technical specifications. * Estimation & Rate Analysis: Proven ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs and detailed rate analysis for all specified MEP disciplines. * Market Knowledge & Negotiation: Established network and market reach with MEP product suppliers and subcontractors, particularly in the Bangalore region. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. * Software Proficiency: High proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel). Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is expected; familiarity with Revit MEP is a plus. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners. * Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail. * Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects/tenders simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
