Design Engineer

Job Description

Assist in designing chassis and vehicle components for two-wheel electric vehicles using casting, forging, and machined parts, with a focus on lightweight and sustainable materials. Create 3D models and basic engineering drawings using CAD software (NX) under the guidance of senior engineers. Perform basic engineering calculations and assist to validate product performance, safety, and reliability, under the guidance of senior engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, and testing) to support product development and integration processes. Maintain technical documentation, including design specs and test reports, using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools like Teamcenter. Identify and troubleshoot basic design or manufacturing issues, proposing solutions to improve efficiency and quality. Assist in managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) for the product, ensuring accuracy and completeness in component listing and specifications. Learn from and support senior engineers, contributing to team projects and growing your technical expertise. Requirements Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design (internships, academic projects, or professional experience in automotive/two-wheel vehicle design preferred). Basic proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (NX preferred; other tools like SolidWorks or CATIA acceptable). Familiarity with engineering calculations and an interest in product development for electric vehicles. Understanding of manufacturing processes (eg, casting, forging, machining) and material selection basics. Knowledge of two-wheel vehicle components (eg, chassis, wheels, steering) or a strong desire to learn. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with drafting standards (eg, ANSI Y14.5) is a plus.
