In this role, you will play a crucial part in project delivery, design management, and project management. You will be responsible for positioning and winning projects across a range of services. Collaboration with commercial, project management, engineering, and design technical leaders will be key in creating opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate various projects. As a Design Engineer - PHE & Fire Protection for Data Center Projects, your responsibilities will include supporting the Lead Engineer to achieve project goals, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing assistance to the Department Head/Discipline Head. You will be expected to exhibit strong technical knowledge in the domain, prepare project-related activities such as design calculations, drawings, specifications, and vendor drawing reviews. Additionally, you will guide a team of designers in fire and PHE engineering, review 3D models and layouts, and ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NFPA, TAC, NBC, IS, and others. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical Discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Fire Protection and PHE Department of an engineering consultancy organization specializing in data center projects. Proficiency in standards such as NBC, IS, TAC, NFPA, FM requirements, and software like Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of Hydraulic Calculation Software and willingness to learn in-house tools and proprietary software are essential.
