Design Engineer (NX Design)

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical/Automobile Engineer with expertise in CAD modelling and drawing preparation for Automobile sheet metal parts.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design engineering, focusing on the creation, development, and optimization of sheet metal components for various applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Apply knowledge of sheet metal processes (bending, punching, cutting, and welding) to design manufacturable and cost-effective components.
• Candidates who can perform basic CAE with NX have added advantage.
• CAD Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models of sheet metal components using CAD software, preferably NX.
• Design Optimization: Ensure designs meet functionality, durability, and aesthetic requirements while adhering to industry standards and client specifications.
• Drawing Preparation: Create comprehensive 2D engineering drawings, including GD&T annotations, for manufacturing and quality assurance purposes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including vehicle integration, manufacturing, and suppliers, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability. Qualifications and Skills.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience in sheet metal design and CAD modelling.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools, preferably Siemens NX.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques and limitations. Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in sheet metal design.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
