Description
As an MYP Design & DP Digital Technology Teacher at Bloomingdale International School, your role will involve delivering engaging and concept-driven instruction in MYP Design and DP Digital Society/Technology. You will implement the IB Design Cycle, guide students through digital and product-based projects, and integrate technology tools such as Python, Scratch, Arduino, TinkerCAD, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite. Your responsibilities will also include facilitating student inquiry, innovation, and independent learning through real-world challenges, evaluating student progress through authentic assessments, maintaining accurate documentation and portfolios in alignment with IB standards, collaborating with interdisciplinary faculty on curriculum planning and implementation, and participating in IB-accredited training and school-wide initiatives. Qualifications required for this position include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Design, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, a minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience with at least one year of IB MYP or DP experience, proficiency in design thinking, digital tools, and educational technology, a strong understanding of IB frameworks including ATL skills and global contexts, and preferably IB training or certification in MYP Design and/or DP Digital Society. Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
