Design and Product Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• 3D Modelling: Create accurate and detailed 3D models of design concepts, including structural, mechanical, and architectural components using AutoCAD software.

• Drafting & Design: Produce 3D representations from initial design sketches or conceptual plans, ensuring they are aligned with project specifications and industry standards.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand design requirements and modify designs based on feedback.

• Project Documentation: Maintain and organize project files, design updates, and revisions. Ensure documentation is complete and accurate for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Quality Control: Review designs for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards.

• Renderings & Presentations: Create high-quality 3D visualizations, renderings, and presentations for client meetings, design reviews, or internal assessments.

• Design Improvements: Continuously seek ways to improve design processes, streamline workflows, and integrate innovative solutions.

• Software Expertise: Utilize AutoCAD 3D tools and features, such as AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar, to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.

• Experience: Experience in 3D design, drafting, and modelling using AutoCAD software.

• Software Skills: Expertise in AutoCAD 3D, familiarity with other design software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max) is a plus.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of design principles, building codes, and industry standards. Knowledge of materials, structures, and construction methods.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, high-quality designs and handle multiple revisions or changes.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present design concepts to clients or stakeholders.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues early in the design process and work towards creative and functional solutions.

• Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
