DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

As a Manager of Design & Product Development at a company specializing in manufacturing Plastic Drums, Containers, and Bottles for various industries, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Understand customers" requirements communicated by the sales team for new product designs and developments. This includes involvement in planning, costing, material selection, and other related aspects. - Create drawings using software and propose different design options that align with customer specifications. - Analyze drawings from multiple perspectives such as weight, thickness, width, shape, and load capacity. - Select suitable materials for developing new products. - Coordinate with mould makers throughout the entire process of developing moulds for production based on the finalized product design. - Collaborate closely with the factory team to conduct trials for new moulds and products. - Provide administrative support to the sales team, customers, factory personnel, and mould makers. - Enhance the quality and make further improvements on existing products and moulds. - Prepare ISO documents, including inspection reports, mould history reports, and feasibility reports. - Utilize software proficiency in AutoCAD Drawing, Unigraphics, and 3D modelling for design tasks. Key Qualifications for this role: - CIPET Degree/Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Proficiency in UG NX, SOLID WORKS, AUTO CAD, and Office Tools You will be expected to prepare innovative designs using software, coordinate with mould makers, factory, and Head Office teams, and take responsibility for conducting trials of moulds at the factory.
