Job Summary:

A dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions related to the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. They provide both medical and cosmetic treatments, including skin cancer screenings, acne treatment, surgical procedures, and aesthetic procedures like Botox and laser therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and skin infections.
  
• Perform skin cancer screenings and biopsies; diagnose and treat various types of skin cancer.
  
• Conduct dermatological surgeries, including removal of moles, cysts, and skin lesions.
  
• Provide cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
  
• Develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  
• Educate patients on skincare, prevention strategies, and treatment plans.
  
• Keep accurate medical records and documentation.
  
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
  

Qualifications:

• Completed residency in dermatology (typically 3 years).
  
• Board certification in dermatology (e.g., from the American Board of Dermatology).
  
• Valid medical license to practice in the state or country.
