Role Overview As the Deputy Director / Director of Economic Research, you will be responsible for leading the macroeconomic research activities within the organization. Your role will involve contributing to high-impact economic publications and providing data-driven analysis and insights to support senior leadership. Key Responsibilities - Prepare Reports & Presentations on key macroeconomic themes affecting national and global policy landscapes. - Develop Talking Points & Reference Notes for senior office bearers on economic trends and policy developments. - Lead Forecasting & Modelling initiatives to support long-term economic planning and industry strategy. - Conduct Thematic Macroeconomic Research and produce cutting-edge reports on topical economic issues. Key Performance Indicators Your success will be measured by your ability to: - Produce high-quality reports and compelling presentations on economic topics. - Deliver reference materials to senior leadership in a timely manner. - Execute economic modelling and forecasting projects effectively. - Contribute to innovative, well-researched economic studies and thematic publications. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must hold an M.A. or Ph.D. in Economics or a related field. Experience Required - Deputy Director: 8-12 years - Director: 12-16 years Key Competencies - Excellent communication skills (written and oral). - Strong conceptual understanding of economic issues. - Proficiency in econometric tools such as STATA, EViews, or similar packages.
