Department Manger with retail experience

Staff and operations management

• Recruit, hire, and train new employees.
• Create efficient staff schedules to ensure coverage.
• Supervise employees, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and address issues.
• Lead and motivate the team to achieve goals and foster a positive work environment.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the department, including opening and closing procedures.

Sales and customer service

• Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed departmental sales goals.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and handle customer complaints and issues effectively.
• Coordinate with marketing to execute promotional events and campaigns.

Inventory and visual merchandising

• Monitor stock levels, oversee ordering and receiving, and conduct regular stock assessments to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Ensure products are properly stocked and merchandise is organized.
• Implement merchandising strategies to create appealing displays and enhance product visibility.

Compliance and reporting

• Policy enforcement: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
