We are looking for candidates with a Shipyard, Shipbuilding, and Ship repair background specializing in Marine vessels. Applicants must have 5 to 10 years of experience in the industry. Qualifications : Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Relevant ( Candidates from Civil Background are not eligible for this position ) Experience : 5 -10 Yr's in a relevant role Industry Eligibility : Shipyard, Shipbuilding & Ship Repair Job Location : CBD Belapur, Mumbai Job Profile : The ideal candidate should have expertise in: Machinery installation, commissioning, testing, and trials Repair and maintenance of ship machinery and systems Shipbuilding mechanical outfit works, including piping and hydraulics Construction and repair of marine vessels Team management, including supervision of skilled and unskilled workers Key Responsibilities : Supervise the installation of mechanical systems on ships, including main engines, propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and piping Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and optimize vessel performance throughout the shipbuilding process Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate systems within the vessel design Oversee propeller shaft alignment during vessel construction to meet safety and technical standards Conduct tests and trials for main engines, diesel generators, compressors, pumps, oily water separators, hydrosphere's, and other equipment Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations Required Skills & Qualifications : Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles in ship systems Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) Knowledge of maritime regulations and shipbuilding standards Hands-on experience with shipbuilding practices and procedures Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork

As a Marine Draftsman at DEM International Private Limited, you will be a crucial part of the team responsible for translating engineering concepts into precise technical drawings for ship structures and marine systems. Your role will involve creating detailed 2D and 3D design drawings, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Create detailed 2D and 3D design drawings, schematics, and models for marine vessels and structures, covering hulls, decks, bulkheads, piping, and mechanical systems. - Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or other CAD programs to generate accurate and detailed technical drawings. - Develop structural layouts and design steel and aluminum structures suitable for marine environments while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and classification society standards. - Collaborate with Naval Architects, engineers, and other designers to incorporate mechanical, electrical, and piping systems into vessel designs. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. - Review, revise, and update technical drawings based on client feedback, design modifications, and regulatory updates. - Conduct self-checks and participate in peer reviews to maintain high standards of accuracy and precision. - Provide mentorship to junior draftsmen and designers within the team. - Ensure all designs comply with international and local maritime regulations, as well as relevant classification society standards.
