Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as government officials, procurement teams, and decision-makers. Requirements: Proven experience in leading and managing a team for liaising relationship with govt bodies like Govt Department(PWD/CPWD), Ministries, Railways, Defence, PSU’s, NBCC, Hospital bodies, Institutes, Medical Institutes etc. Scope of business generation is unlimited from any department, just initiation and market intelligence in the sales personnel should be there to pursue and close business Should have a knack of developing and strategizing for acquiring maximum business and if Managerial or leadership role, a skill for making team work for business growth. Proficient in communication whether Hindi or English both is fine but excellent in conviction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Raw Material Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming materials (solid wood, plywood, MDF, particleboard, laminates, veneers, adhesives, upholstery materials, fasteners, etc.) for conformance to specifications. Use tools like moisture meters , calipers , and thickness gauges to verify dimensional and material quality. Maintain Material Inspection Reports (MIR) and approve/reject materials with traceability. 2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Conduct stage-wise inspections (cutting, CNC routing, edge-banding, lamination, carcass assembly, sanding, polishing, upholstery, etc.). Verify dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (tape, scale, try square, vernier caliper). Monitor edge finishing , surface flatness , joint strength , adhesive application , and assembly tolerances . Conduct in-process defect analysis and ensure first-pass yield (FPY) is within defined limits. 3. Final Product Inspection (FQC): Perform final inspection on completed furniture items (wardrobes, beds, chairs, modular units, etc.). Ensure compliance with design drawings, BOM, client specifications, ergonomic dimensions , surface finish (PU, melamine, lacquer), hardware installation, and packaging standards. Conduct functionality tests : drawer smoothness, door alignment, load-bearing, stability, upholstery firmness. 4. Process & Quality Documentation: Prepare and maintain QC Checklists , Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) , and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) logs. Maintain calibration logs of inspection tools and ensure tool accuracy. Contribute to internal audits and external certifications (ISO 9001, FSC, etc.). 5. Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis: Identify quality defects and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like Fishbone Diagram , 5 Whys , Pareto Analysis . Coordinate with production and design teams to implement Corrective Actions . Participate in Kaizen , Lean Manufacturing , and 5S activities to enhance process quality and reduce waste.
