Role & Responsibilities Music Teacher Plan and deliver engaging music lessons (vocal & instrumental) aligned with curriculum standards for various classes. Develop students' musical skills , including rhythm, pitch, notation, voice modulation, and instrumental practice. Prepare students for school events , assemblies, concerts, competitions, and inter/intra-school cultural programs. Train the school choir/band and lead musical performances on national days, annual functions, and festivals. Teach different genres of music Indian classical, contemporary, folk, and Western styles – as per school requirements. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and assemblies. Maintain musical instruments , arrange repairs, and ensure their proper usage by students. Encourage musical creativity through composition, improvisation, and group performances. Assess student performance , maintain records, and provide feedback for improvement. Participate actively in school development , workshops, and faculty meetings. Preferred Candidate Profile – Music Teacher Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) from a recognized university. Certification from reputed music institutions is an added advantage. Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a reputed school; freshers with strong talent may be considered. Skills Required: Proficiency in Indian and/or Western music (vocal/instrumental). Ability to play and teach multiple instruments (keyboard, tabla, guitar, harmonium, etc.). Strong command over music theory and notation. Event coordination and student performance grooming. Personality Traits: Passionate about teaching and music. Patient, creative, and good with children. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
