Generate and manage 2D/3D harness layouts , wiring diagrams , schematics , and cable routing using tools like CATIA V5-EHI , Zuken E3 , or Capital Harness . Select appropriate military-grade connectors, wires, conduits, grommets , and protective sleeves for harsh environments (shock, vibration, EMI, temperature). Ensure compliance with defense standards such as MIL-STD-810 , MIL-DTL-38999 , MIL-STD-461 , or equivalent. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, systems, integration, QA) to ensure proper harness fitment and integration in the vehicle. Create and maintain documentation: BOMs , harness drawings , connector lists , and change notes . Participate in DFMEA reviews and design validation activities. Support prototype build, vehicle testing, and fault diagnostics during field trials
